Forum: Hardware Technical Support - Topic: Which DMX-USB boxes work under VDJ ?

Hi,

I like to get your feedback on whom managed to get DMX working under VDJ 5.2.1.
Please specify what brand model DMX-USB box, drivers, version you are using.

I have the Sunlite Siudi6C firmware version 1.15, and driver version 1.4.1.0 (30-10-2008)
\VirtualDJ\Plugins there is dashard.dll 124 Kb 11-04-2002
However it is not working under VDJ.
With Sunlite easy standalone it does work on the same PC which runs VDJ.
IN VDJ under controllers the DMX remains red colored and the green led on the Sunlite6C DMX-USB box does not start flashing.

I would like to have DMX working under VDJ although it is not as sophisticated as special light software, since you can let the music control/trigger the lights. For example Sunlite easy stand alone does not support this.

How about taking a look at Freestlyer?
FREESTYLER

It runs side by side to VDJ an it's a full an éasy to use DMX-Software.
And supports a lot of interfaces.

Looked at Freestyler but also freestyler is not working with the Sunlite Siudi6c, tried Sunlite and Sunlite 2006 in freestyler both do not work.

I'd like some info on how VDJ can control DMX...anything would be nice.

I looked into this awhile back HERE

From what I found out Entec dongles do not work with Vdj. Unsure as to if things have been updated with newer Vdj releases.

Virtual DJ with Siudi 6c

Trying to get SUIDI 6c to work with Virtual DJ. I bought the Sunlite product since I understood that's the one supported by Virtual DJ http://www.virtualdj.com/
Tried several things opened multiple topics on the VDJ forum. You can search on the forum for DMX or Siudi.

However it is not working under VDJ.

Do I need other drivers to install?

They must update their software to make it work with our new drivers. You can get back to the old divers by the way, please email support@nicolaudie.com and we will send you the files.

Got siudi 6c now working with both freestyler and Easy standalone when I downgraded the Das driver to V 1.3.1000.0 17-10-2006.
But still NOT wunder VDJ 5.2.1.

I Have been in contact with Sunlite and they informed me VDJ needs to support dashard2006.dll driver instead of dashard.dll.

My question is then which SIUDI box and drivers is supported under VDJ?

Will SIUDI 6c be supported soon under VDJ next release?

Or what DMX dongle/box/device is working today?????
