Forum: MAC Version Technical Support - Topic: problems with using downloaded effects .

hi i'm a mac user and wondered if any one could help me out. i have downloaded a few effects to use in virtual dj. but once i have downloaded them to my mac i do not know what to do next ( how too get them working and running on virtual dj )

please get back too me cheerz sam.

i haver the same problem mate cant use them once thay have downloaded

i know its really annoying. im getting bored of the 3 effects i hve now :L

Firstly i assume you have downloaded Mac compatible effects. You must download the ones with Apple symbol on them, if so.......

When downloaded have you unzipped the file then move the contents to:

for sound effects
/Users/USERNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins/SoundEffect

for video effects
/Users/USERNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins/VideoEffect

for video transition
/Users/USERNAME/Documents/VirtualDJ/Plugins/VideoTransition

I cant find apple symbol before any of the samples.

Are they only for PC?

If not, step by step on how is much apreciated.

The samples are standard audio files, so are platform independent. - They should work on both Mac and PC.

i would like 'echo' effect, is it available in mac?

I've noticed in my skins folder, there are several 'zip' files. Do I have to 'unzip' them to make them visible, because it seems that most of them are already visible in Vdj6.

I do not even have an option to unzip the file. it won't even let me open up the samples that i try to download

NOTE: Skins in the skins folder must not be unzipped.
