I can't believe I've only just discovered this. Did you know that when playing video's or any format come to that, You can drag a video from another song into the small preview video window and it will carry on playing that song but play the video of whatever you have dragged. Which is dead handy. Be careful though because when you play that song next time. It remembers that you wanted to play another video with it. Which i don't know if thats a good thing or a bad thing yet?

I notice that once you have done this task of linking a video, the little blue V is replaced with a L which is fine but next time you want to search your videos for that song its not there because its not classed as a video anymore?

You can get it back by ticking the Karaoke files button to the right of the search bar and searching again.

Any one else noticed this? and how are you using it?

This feature has been around for awhile now. This gives you the option to link a video or graphic to an audio file.

Its also very handy if you got a live video and want the studio cut for audio, yes it does remember but you also have the option in the browser
to display the linked video name also you can right click to remove the liked video or simply just drag the original to the video window.

oh wow, i found this one out the hard way. I thought I was going crazy, I was playing one song but the video was from another. I thought something was corrupted in VDJ. hehe Good thing I checked here and didn't trash the database.

it's been there for a while but unfortunately most of us discovered it accidentally and assumed it was not meant to be that. Infact, i thought for the first time that it was a bug and had to delete the whole file till i realized the magic. it's good to add ones personal images or videos for songs which one has no video (instantly). It's really a big plus for virtual DJ.

Its all good and I love the feature. The only downside is how do you find what songs have a linked video?
For example, over one week i link a load of videos to mp3s, How do i find them all quickly and convert them all back if i cant remember what songs have a linked video? For all I know I have 100's of songs that aren't showing in the search results
I feel it needs to still appear in the search listings along with Videos. Perhaps in a future version.

If you search for the name of the audio, it will show up with a L in front of it, if it is linked. I guess you could also put all your linked tracks in a linked folder, if you wanted to.

I am trying to figure out one can link a song to a video... I have some video with not so clear audio but also have the original in mp3 format.
Can't anyone help me figure this feature out?

Just show the column in the browser if you are not sure if you linked a video or not

hi, i am new to the DJ world and could really use some help! I have about 500 music videos that I need to move over to my virtual DJ. I have downloaded Prism and converted the first DVD to mp4, however I am having trouble dragging them into my virtual DJ playlist area. Can someone please help! Thank you!
