hi guys, i've been working for a long time on a new launchpad mapping for virtual dj 7.4
Unlike the great majority of mappers i've seen this one is thought to be used IN ADDITION with your console-like controller. That's why it is missing of some basilar buttons like play, sync and loop.
Features:
- 3 banks structured mapper (main / remix / lightshow)
- not dispersive, intuitive functions and lights
- console compatible (if you move the volume faders from console, launchpad lights will change accordingly and so on)
- useful vu meter for both deck A & B
- global level meter lightshow bank
Working on:
- adding shift 1 use: switch between sample funcion (stutter/hold)
- adding 4th bank with 8 band equalizer (maybe in version 2 :P - long time project)
- finish bank 2 before release
Screenshots:
Bank 1 (MAIN):
cues are green when free, red when set - hold cue shift and press the cues you want to release
with cue sync shift active cues will be automatically synced with the other deck when used

Bank 2 (CUES / EFFECTS):
same as bank 1 for the cues

Bank 3 (LEVEL METER LIGHTSHOW - changes also with volume faders):
no pressing functions - visual feedback only

now i have to finish the bank 2 adding some features, which is thought to be a live remix bank (so with cues effects and samples maybe) so, since i have tons of ideas i wanted you to decide which are the most useful
any ideas are:
1)
- 4 horizontal effect sliders (buttons 1 to 6 each line)
- 8 effect activation buttons (7-8 each line)
2) same as 1 but with 4 effect modify buttons (on button 7) and 4 activation buttons (on the 8th)
3)
- 4 horizontal effect sliders (button 1 to 5 each line)
- 4 effect activation buttons (6 each line)
- 8 sample pads (7-8)
Opinions, critics and advices are well accepted :)
Next week i'll make a video tutorial on how this mapper works :P
Cheers ;)
