It's time to get a newer laptop, and relegate my trusty old Toshiba (Windows Vista) as the backup.
All the laptops that I am looking at run Windows 8 and 64 bit. I thought I read that Virtual DJ 8 needs 32 bit and had compatibility issues with 64 bit systems.
Is this true, and if so, has it been fixed?
If there is an issue with the new laptops and Windows OS, what specs should I be looking for in the laptop?
Right now, I have 2 systems...my PC desktop and old laptop. Both have version 7.0.5b Pro. When I get my new laptop, I'd like to download the latest version 8 to the new laptop and my main workhorse, the PC desktop.
I guess I will just keep the older version on my Toshiba?

Works fine with both x86 and x64 versions of Windows 8.

Did a little more online research. Seems the real problems are the older hardware devices, do not have drivers for the Windows 8/64-bit platform. An example is my older Numark DJ I/O external soundcard.
According to Numark, it is not compatible, and I must use the newer DJ/IO 2.
