Unless I'm missing something here, the NV already has filter roll, just hit the button left of the right platter that says "filter roll" to activate then turn filter knob to engage. Hit the button one more time so the light blinks, and whatever effect you have in slot 1 will engage with the filter.

Any interest as this as a plugin?

Inviato Sat 30 May 15 @ 3:11 pm
That would nice and could it be simple, meaning, I press a button to turn it on the turn 1 parameter knob to adjust loop/filter.

Not that it matters but if an effect has more then 2 parameters I just delete off my machines. Yes some people like to control every aspect of a plugin but in my opinion that just gets complicated and not really useful during a live session.

Simple isn't always a bad thing.

But to answer your question, Yes Loco that would be cool.

I try to keep my plugins with param 1 being the main one and other dials as set once type of things.

I think this will have 2 dials, 1 as you say the main one and the other will pick 4 different loop patterns, standard, funk, standard&funk, mental.

That's what I like to hear!! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks!!

A bit of info needed what is the standard loop pattern?, I guessed for 1,0.5,0.25,0.125 is this right or does it go further? (1/16ths = 0.06125)

it does not seem to work in vdj . other than that everything seems real nice even got my line curve adjustment down where i want it . got to say vdj has come along way

If the Filter Roll mode of the NV doesnt work as expected, can you check if the Slicer Effect is enabled from the FX drop down list ?

i dont know what i did but it seems to work just not like serato as the track acts like its in slip mode

btw thanks everyone here for the help the last time i used vdj was in 2008 when i switch to mixvibes

I thought slip mode would be the way you wanted it.

It's how I'm writing the plugin.

A bit of feedback required, I've got a simple version working here but it doesn't feel right

Imagine;
I've got my dial and it controls the filter
if dial < 10% loop 1/16
if dial < 20% loop 1/8
if dial < 30% loop 1/4
if dial < 40% loop 1/2
if dial between 40-60% loop 1
if dial < 70% loop 1/2
if dial < 80% loop 1/4
if dial < 90% loop 1/8
if dial > 90% loop 1/16

If just doesn't feel right, I think I should tighten the bunch in the middle and as extremes of filtering are not that audible.

The other thing is I think you should be able to progress the track (if you want) so if dial = 0% or 100%, loop goes off until the dial goes between 10-90 (then it turns back on)

opinions?

works great dog! but only one control? can you add a loop position knob? maybe? think of the possibilities...;)
