Stop it. Linux is not real, it's all in your mind. Linux is like the car kit you bought, and put together in the garage. It's still there. Yeah you take it out every now and then, add something new every year, but you know you can't drive it everyday. I mean the Yugo was a car, just like BMW is a car.

Regardless of what Linux is for everyone, a Linux version of VirtualDJ is not a plan.

It is obvious that Google would not want to be dominated by a Microsoft operating system.
I'm not happy about Linux almost being high jacked by a major corporate player.
Anyway this has resulted in Microsoft giving away Win 10, at least for the time being.

The humble open source ogg is at least equal, and may be superior to the patented mp3.

The best chess engines in our world are open source constructions.

This does not imply that the end may be just around the corner for Atomix.
They have an refreshing, and interesting business model.

This post comes from my Linux desktop.
I rarely use Windows.

It may be prudent to be flexible in a rapidly changing world.

PS: Another Windows software with a business approach I like is Ableton, Traktor I despise.
I have just uninstalled Traktor Pro 2.
This bloatware loaded up the individual drivers for every piece of hardware that they manufacture.
I have two almost identical laptops, one with VDJ / Ableton, and the other VDJ / Traktor (past tense).
Traktor natively supports the MC6000 and coexisted fine with VDJ 8.
However two DNS1200's are not so easily supported by Traktor.
I then found the Denon DNS1200 drivers would not work in VDJ 8, but the WDM drivers work fine !?
Traktor is my main suspect.
My other laptop is perfect.
Ableton has so far been a fine software, as is VDJ.

VirtualDJ is already partially supported on a Linux operating system.
Anderoid ?
On what do you think that is based ?
Atomix will be glad of their links with Google in the future.
Surely it can only be a matter of time before Atomix challenge Mixvibes Cross DJ on the handheld mobile platforms.
The market is vast.

I think that eventually all the major operating system manufactures will merge with Linux, and produce their own distinct distributions.
Google is but the first, Microsoft and Apple will follow.

Who cares on which platform VDJ is working? It just has to work when you do a gig.
I'm happy that I can focus on my music and not on my laptop.
DJ = bringing music, for all the rest I hire technicians ;-)

Most DJ's / KJ's are mobile, and travel with all sorts of things, I often think some may even include a kitchen sink.
The one thing they don't usually have with them is a Tech.

They could not function with just music alone.

I suspect that there is around 100 mobiles for each club DJ.
They are the reason that VDJ is the most popular DJ software in our world.
