S of I bought some new tracks from Beatport today. So I put them in the folder with rest of my files but vdj is still showing the same files as before. So go do I get my folders refreshed so the new files show up?

I seem to remember having a similar issue.... I think if you hold shift and then left click on the folder name in the browser that performs a refresh and they then appeared. I think that is a short cut for re-curse?

I did not reply earlier because I'm not sure what I do is the best.
Anyway it works.
If I add a folder of songs, or even just some songs to a folder, then I right click on that folder in the VDJ8 browser, and select Batch.
In the resultant menu I then do two things :
!. Analyze for BPM ect.
2. Add to search DB
After those two processes are completed I then go to the radio button on the bottom left hand side,
and select Database--->Remove missing files from DB.
Note: If you right click on the title bar of the browser it gives you extra options to display information about your songs. I recommend the following additions
1. BPM
2. Harmonic (key !)
3. Bitrate (have some idea of the song quality)
4 File Size (as above)
Song quality is an important issue.
I would be reluctant to play a 160kb/s song or below.
192kb/s is just about good enough at a push.
Variable bitrate songs don't display correctly.
Hence 320kb/s cbr or Flac is my normal choice.
Anyway it works.
