For these tests, Win7, aero on, high end CPU and GPU, skin at 60 FPS, video at 60 FPS. VDJ video is window display. Using TellyVisuals to run the test which can scroll and show the video FPS.
When VDJ user interface is not minimized, then everything is normal. Just showing the word Test scrolling back and forth which is very smooth at a constant 60 FPS. Nothing else is running.
When I click the minimize button in the VDJ skin, then the motion starts to jerk and is not smooth. The frame rate stays at 60 FPS but the scrolling is not smooth.
When I click the task bar button to minimize VDJ or the show desktop button, then the fps drops to below 30.
1) seems there are different code paths depending on how VDJ UI is minimized
2) when minimized skin drawing is interfering with video drawing which should not be
This has happened for a long time but did not happen before that.
At the same time VDJ is displaying video below 30 FPS, TellyContainer is displaying it's video at a normal and smooth 60 FPS. TellyContainer allows TM and TV to run without using VDJ and it can run independently at the same time VDJ is running
