I am an Owner of VD7 license for years now but from today I tried opening and it crashes again and again without any explanation... when It worked fine over years no matter of the speed of computer... seems like i Have to pay again 299€ for the 8 version 8 years later again ? what the heck?! why create a version 8 without giving an special discount for upgrading for older users trough these agressive marketing?

No you don't have to pay. It's a free upgrade for Pro license holders.
