Hi,
I use an RME baby face, among other sound cards. The sampling rate is always fixed at 44 kHz in the Asio driver.
Virtual DJ8 (last Early Access) does not take over the sampling rate, although it is set to "Automatic".
It is always set to 48000.

VirtualDJ requests the last used samplerate from the ASIO driver when samplerate is set to automatic, so if you have another sound card that is set to 48000, then it will request 48000 later when you connect the RME.
Since this change appears to be successful, the RME asio driver is actually allowing the sample rate to be set to 48000.
You can manually set samplerate in VDJ to 44100 to make VDJ request 44100 as sample rate instead.

When i set to 44100 and Close and reopen VDJ, the Value is set to Auto again.

After re-opening, even though it is automatic, isn't it connecting at 44100?

What did the trick was, to set samplerate from Auto to > 44100 > Closing VDJ.
Surprise: After Opening again, VDJ shows Auto (44100).
I think thats could be a bug?!

I'm using vdj and rme babyface two years without that problem before..... :-)
