Topic: When I search for a song do Playlists get searched, or any where else that would give show false duplicates?

I noticed that many times when I search for a song the song will be listed several times in the results. (PLEASE NOTE: I am not searching for dupes, just searching for a song using its title) Yes, some times it might really be a duplicate, but I find that a lot of the duplicate results are the EXACT some song. They have the same file path which can be verified not only name of file path but also by using File Operations > Open in Explorer, plus if you change the color of one of the duplicates all the others changed color also.

So, to be clear, my question is this: What folders etc. does VDJ use for searching for songs.

I don't have an exact answer, but does the database cleaning option help?

remove missing files from the database

Data base cleaning and removing missing songs made no difference at all.

search, searches everything you have added to the database.

by default any folder you browse with media gets added to the database
