Topic: Some Problems with Pro-License-Functions...
ralphHome userMember since 2022
Hello, everyone,

just downloaded VDJ and bought the Pro license. Unfortunately, there are the following problems that I can't find a solution for:

- VDJ only works online for me, but I make music for a friend's birthday and there is no WiFi. How can I play my Deezer playlists that I downloaded offline via VDJ?
- I connected the Pioneer DDJ-SX. Unfortunately, I can't preview through the headphones like with Serato, but have to use the volume control that controls the speaker. This contradicts the function, especially since there are CUE buttons on the deck. However, these are ignored by the program. How can I correct this?
- The samples are quite nice, but unfortunately they are not always in sync with the tracks (there are problems especially with Deck A). How can I bring this about?
- Unfortunately, the buttons for vocal, instrumental etc. have disappeared (they were included in the free version). I find this particularly exciting. Where can I find this now in the Pro version?

Thanks and best regards

VG Ralph

- Deezer is a online streaming service. It does not allow caching of songs offline.
(you can change to iDJPool, Soundcloud DJ or other that do allow caching offline, but while this allow offline use, you will not be able to download or find more songs offline. Internet is usually needed for online catalogs)

- I connected the Pioneer DDJ-SX. Unfortunately, I can't preview through the headphones
Your sound settings are then most likely incorrect. See here:
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/hardware/pioneer/ddjsx/installation.html
(master + headphones sound setup)

- The samples are quite nice, but unfortunately they are not always in sync with the tracks
Sampler can be set to sync or not, and sampler routing can be to a deck or master. Depending on what your settings are, you may have to set it to master or trigger deck. See here:
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/interface/browser/sideview/sampler.html (#4)

Additionally not all samples are set to sync. You can edit samples in the sample editor. See here:
https://www.virtualdj.com/manuals/virtualdj/editors/sampleeditor.html

- Unfortunately, the buttons for vocal, instrumental etc. have disappeared
They are still there, and I guess you mean the performance pads. They may have changed to the default ones intended by the DDJ-SX (hot cues, sampler etc).

but you can choose any pads from the pads drop down in skin, and you can even reassign pads to the DDJ-SX if you prefer to use stems (vocal, beats etc) instead of other preset pads on the controller.

See here:
