Topic: Issue with Singer Names Not Retaining in Working List After Virtual DJ 2024 Upgrade
Hey everyone, I recently took the leap and upgraded to Virtual DJ 2024 about two weeks ago, but I’ve encountered a strange issue that I’m hoping someone might have insight on. In the video linked below, you’ll see that the software fails to retain the singer’s name when I drag a song to the tab name in my working list, which I use to maintain rotation order. This worked perfectly before the upgrade. Interestingly, it doesn’t affect the karaoke list itself—only the working list. If I open the tab and drag the track directly to the list, it retains the name just fine. I’ve also tried deleting and creating a new list, but to no avail. This issue occurs even on the default skin. I’ve updated to version b8280, but the problem persists. I’m using a MacBook Pro M1.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a fix? I’d really appreciate any help or suggestions you can offer!

Following up on our previous conversations, I upgraded to the latest Standard BUILD 8308, assuming the fix from early access BUILD 8301 would be included. Unfortunately, the issue with names disappearing is still happening. It works fine at first, but after a while, the names clear out. This happened three times during our show last night.

Just wanted to keep you in the loop and hope this can be addressed soon. Thanks for all your hard work!

It's still immediately when dropping the tracks that the names clear?

That’s what’s a bit strange—it didn’t happen immediately. It worked beautifully at first, but after about 2 hours, the issue resurfaced and then occurred three times within the next hour.

I didn’t directly see it clear when dropping tracks last night, but it definitely happened when switching between lists like the sidelist, automix, and karaoke. That’s when the names dropped.

I’m still experiencing an ongoing issue with Virtual DJ 2024, even after updating to version b8350. When I remove singers and their tracks that have already been played, the working list initially updates correctly. However, after switching to the main karaoke tab and then returning to the working list, all singer names are missing. This problem persists despite using the default skin. I’m using a MacBook Pro M1. Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
