Topic: Audio Dropout when activating stems or on song loading
Hi all,
I've noticed since the last versions of VDJ that sometimes a little dropout (single dropout, not recurrent) occurs when I activate stems by pressing the stem effect buttons or rotating the assigned knobs, The same may occur when I load a new song on a deck or also when I start/stop the track while prelistening it.
The dropouts are not recorded using the internal recorder, but are present on the main output, so on any recording of it.
Tried, with no success, to turn off all new features, AI lyrics and flex grid, no change.

Using MAC M1 8GB running Tahoe 26.2.

Dropout or "stuttering" sound, or even speeding up suddenly? I've had stutterings and speedups randomly. I hear them in the speakers but yes, when I listened to a recording of my show done directly in VDJ, the audio artifacts are not there!

Do you use HDMI for audio?
Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) ?
If you increase the size of the sound buffer in VirtualDJ to test if the noise is still the same?

Does it sound like "gri gri gri" with a periodic pattern?

Thanks for your answers,

@DJNeidermeyer, not stuttering, not speeding up. Only a little "silence" when i turn on stems or i load songs.
Ok stems are not precalculated, but I had no problems before.
Once, during a perfomance, I had LONG dropouts (4 / 5 seconds ?) ... people were looking at me.
Then i discovered that some sort of song archive analysis was started (during a perfomance?) and i saw that pushed the CPU usage >=100%.

@djcel no HDMI, just VDJ running on a MAC M1 which i reboot before any performance.
No EMI interference, no random glitches or dropouts, no periodic noises: I hear audio dropout on the cases I described, so activating stems or loading songs. It can happen randomly, not all times, but it's always when I do those actions.
Increasing the buffer size was the first thing I tried, with no success. I can try it again, please tell me what the parameter is, so i can test it again.

Thanks
