Hello all,
last weekend I played at a wedding party with one of the guests - he recommended recording the set, which has been a blast. But unfortunately and very peculiarly, his first part of the set is missing in the recording. The first track after he took over just cuts to a track I played after we switched again - no hiccups, but 90 minutes of playtime missing. And he did not stop the recording willingly nor did I restart it later!
What could've happened? I don't see anything in the settings which could've caused the error (see image).
We also didn't change anything on the hardware side, he just used my running VDJ instance on my laptop with my controller. Things I did change when he took over have been: EQ knobs set to standard (EZ remix off - and reversed when I took over again), loops going backwards (also reversed again later) and AutoBPMMatch and AutoPitLock turned off (but also reversed later). If any of this caused the issue, why has his second part of the set been recorded without problems?
Any ideas for troubleshooting? There's worse issues to imagine, but I really want to make sure such an error doesn't happen again in the future.

Okay, that's reasonable - I actually remember a pop-up about copyright issues stopping the recording on some of the tracks the other DJ wanted to play. We decided against playing those tracks then.
So, I actually put an online-song (guest wish) on a silent side deck - maybe that's the moment the recording stopped. But why would the recording cut so randomly and then start again so much later? Maybe it picked up recording again when I deleted this online song from the deck?

Indeed as soon as a DRM track is on deck [doesn't have to be audible] recording will cut until the DRM track is off deck.

Okay, at least I know the reason know. I just wish there would have been a warning for online songs, too!
