Hello,
I've been having problems with my set-up ever since I started using CUE software. I was a former user of Virtual DJ 4.3 on a iBook G4 (1.33 Ghz, 512 MB, OS X 10.4.11) and was running okay - i opted not to use effects at avoid software crash. I upgraded my laptop to Macbook Pro (2.2 Ghz Intel Core Duo, 4gb, OS X 10.5.1) and started using CUE 4.3 with it. It was for a day then i started encountering the following problems after a few minutes of playing (average of 15-20mins): 1. the song playing suddenly skips. 2. there is a delay in reaction time of controller to software (1 second) 3. you hear a hissing sound (of the song playing and song on cue) then the song slowly losses quality until you don't hear anything. 4. when recording the song suddenly skips. I've upgraded to CUE 5.0 (full version) for a few weeks now and i have been experiencing the same problems. I'm not too familiar how latency, algorithm, interpolation, filters, etc. work, I tried fiddling with them but with the same results. I need immediate help on my problem from anyone. Thanks in advance. Edit/Delete Message |

Hello , Drivers for 10.5 x for the DJ.io will be released in the next two weeks or so which will solve these issues with the io.
Please add your full Cue serial to your profile, so that you can download an official update of 5.07 this will increase your performance greatly. |
That's good to hear. Thanks for the swift response. How will I know when the drivers are ready for download? I have already added my serial number to my profile. |
Hi , roughly 1-3 weeks you have added cue le only not the ful cue so you cannot get updates. |

Has there been any progress with the DJiO drivers for Leopard? The split-mono headphone jack on my shiny new MBP seems so so wrong...
J P.S. - I tested the DJiO with my Cue/Bootcamp-XP setup for about 4 hours today. Everything worked fine for about 3 hours, then the DJiO seemed to struggle to process the audio. It's hard to explain, but the music slowly started turning into an amplitude-governed "screech". Split-mono works fine. |
I believe no updates have been released yet. I'm using VDJ 4.3 on my ibook (w/Tiger OS ) now and it work just fine. It's a shame that my MBP is just sitting at home. |
Uggghhhhh |
Work is very much in progress , we want to make sure its perfect before a release should be very soon. |
It's been a month and still no drivers, what up?
Been waiting since the beginning of February to use my hardware. |

I have just bought a Mac Book Pro Notebook (with Mac OS X 10.5.4) and installed my Virtual DJ pro software (Ver 5.2.1, latest available) but I get distorted sound when I get select 2 output (headphones). My soundcard is Firewire Edirol FA-101. The sound is Ok when I select one outout or mono twin outputs. When I select 2 output, Initially I get no sound via my main output (edirol FA-101) and only headphone sound is outputted via my notebook headphone socket and when I select driver 1 again (in setup) as Edirol FA-101 then all sounds from main and headphone socket get distorted. Is there any fix for this problem with Virtual DJ pro (used with MAC OS X 10.5.4 and Edirol FA-101 Firewire soundcard. |
I'm not familiar with that sound card, but the problem could be you need to create an aggregate device in your Audio MIDI set up located in the Applications / Utilities folder. Here's a link to help configure this. http://www.apple.com/pro/techniques/aggregateaudio/ Hope this helps. Good luck. |

Hello. Im having a problem running my DJIO with totalcontrol on Virtual dj. When I configure the DJIO to have headphones output, and set up DJ IO As soundcard then I try to play a song and it just doesnt play... Can somebody help me please? I have a black Macbook 2.4Ghz Intel core duo 2, 4 GB 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM. |
I'm not 100%, but I think you need to upgrade to the pro version. Also, double check your settings in Config to make sure that they are correct. |
make sure you have the latest DJIO drivers, too |
How could I upgrade to the pro version? The version that I have is the one that came with my mixer Total Control. It brings instructions of how setting this up with DJIO but there is a problem. In the instructions it says that I have to go to virtuadj Preferences/Sound Setup and in the sound card choose ASIO DRIVER. Even though I have installed all DJIO drivers (The ones that came included with it) I dont get the option to choose ASIO DRIVER, it just doesnt appear. I only get the options Mono Separated, 2 cards or 4.1 card and none of those seem to work. Please help me. Im starting to think that I bought all these and I lost my money. |
Also, the versions from virtual dj that i have are Virtual DJ Version 5.0 Mac Beta b3 and I have CUE LE for this one they gave me a 20 day trial for the pro version but I still can't get this working. Please Help me ! |

Macs don't use ASIO drivers, those instructions are for Windows. You should be using version 1.5 of the DJiO driver (numark.com). You should also be using at least Leopard 10.5.3. You should see the DJio in your Mac's System Preferences>Sound. Make sure it is selected for output here. If you don't see it, you can try a different USB port, or reinstall it. Essentially, your Mac has to recognize the sound card (DJio) before any programs can. After you can see/have selected it for output in System Prefs, restart your machine, make sure it is still there, THEN config Cue. In CONFIG: Sound card: 4.1 (this is correct) Output Channels: Master 1&2, Headphones 3&4 You should see "Numark USB Audio Device" as an option under "Driver 1". This is what you want. http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/6200/macandmk2headphonesvb3.jpg ...Like that, but with "Numark USB Audio Device" instead of "Hercules DJ Console..." Make sure you are set to fastest and auto-latency in performance settings. J |
