Thanks, looks like MediaInfo doesn't work entirely with all FLAC files, I'll look at other libraries and see what I can come up with.

I use Exact Audio Copy to convert my music into FLAC...if that helps you with your research.

I want to thank you for all of your efforts...it's truly appreciated!!!!

Man.

You are a GENIUS!

I had your app look into my FLAC files and EVERY field was filled up - correctly.

I AM EXCITED!!!!!!

Now I need to get busy and create my FLAC master library and remove the dupes.

BTW, the following will help sort duplicate FLAC files based on bitrate and other factors.

Augggggg - more work for me! But it will BE WORTH IT!!!!!!!

I did find a bug... it does not like Latin characters. I have a lot of Spanish music and the ones w/ unique letters do not get parsed.

But still, thanks for the great job!

Thanks for your comments and helping with the testing. I've changed the library which I was using for getting tag information for taglib-sharp which works a lot better, hopefully your information will get added now bmacs16. You can get the latest version here.

ewitles, I'm not sure if Virtual DJ will read Latin characters, but if you want me to check it out to see if it's something I can sort out via this program then if you could follow the previous steps to upload a file I'll be sure to check it out.

Ok. thanks!

I know VDJ can b/c it reads the MP3 equiv and since folks across the pond wrote this fine tool, not supporting those character sets would be foolish.

I'll try this evening and if so, email you an offending track.

Thanks again!

It kind of works for me. The application pulls in the Genre and Album cover information into VDJ but not the "year". Is there anything I can do with my flacs to get the success that others seem to be getting with this application?

Works like advertised.

A simple 'read me' might help splain whatcha need to do. But once figured out - really is da bomb.

Now I learned a 750gb is too small for my FLACs.

But they load - oh so much faster than MP3s and so much better.

Maybe Atomix & co can 'borrow w/ compensation' your code for next VDJ version. :)

Perfect!!!!!.

You are da MAN!!!!!

VDJ needs to upload this application in the external tools section.

Thank YOU again.

flac reader is no longer on rapidshare....could someone provide a new link or re upload it Please ???

got the program....i used it and i still do not see any tags on my flac files...someone help plz

Update: it works perfectly exept i don't see any comments in the tags...would it be possible to fix this. Would it be possible to make this work for wave files ???

Does this application read the comments field? I'm not seeing this informatiom from my FLAC tags populating VDJ.

It read my comments fine, could you upload a sample of a track where it hasn't read the comments please?

Turns out it wasn't a problem with the files I had but I had uploaded the wrong utility previously, oops! Should be sorted in this one, I've actually tested it :)

You can use Virtual DJ's fix option from the browser tab after running the utility to remove the old comment information which may have been added to the wrong place.

May a mod please elevate this thread to Professional please.

can you add an option for wave files please ???

Wave files don't have official support for tags, or if they do, I've never encountered one, got any examples?

It now works...thank YOU.

Quick question...your application creates a new XML file when you save the results rather than updating the existing VDJ XML. Moving forward, which XML do I "replace" when I update my music? I want to ensure that the cue points I create through VDJ are not lost when I update the XML with your application.

Thanks
