Oliver AKA DJ Ciacomix was born , 1974 in Essen Germany. His love for music started when he was just a boy of 12 playing at local birthday parties. He started buying records in 1992 when his farther gave him his first turntable. One year later he bought himself 2 turntables and many more records, hence the beginning of DJ Ciacomix.

Ciacomix was not going to stop with just spinning tracks, he wanted to contribute more, and has since begun producing tracks with his friend Mike Hunter and since around 1 1/2 year he..s also doing music with his friend Tommaso De Donatis, producer of the well known DJ Quicksilver and some more known projects.

The first record of Tommaso & Oliver was released in January 2006, "De Donatis & Ciacomix - Angel", out on Deepdive Records.

He has played along side popular DJ’s such as: Hooligan, Taucher, Nalin & Kane, Marc Brain, Beam & Yanou, Roland Casper, DJ ESP, Claude Young, Miss Yetti, Laurent Garnier, Marc O’Tool and many more. Ciacomix has spun at many parties in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, UK (England), Love Parade Berlin, Sweden and USA. In 2005 he did his first trip to Canada, he played in Toronto (Aquadisiac Lounge) and Regina/SK (Scream 4).

At his hometown Essen he did resident DJ jobs at the well known "Modell Traumwelt" and some @ "Mudia Art", not to forget about the underground location "Rote Liebe/Passarella Club".

Most of his musical influences are artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren and some more artists coming from Benelux & England.

He enjoys telling a "story" with his sets taking you on a journey of the mind. To Ciacomix there is nothing better then having his fans right in front of him. Ciacomix plays a wide spectrum of Trance music, but most of it is melodic based.

Ciacomix is a resident of several big radio-stations on the net, for example he..s part of "Digitally Imported" - http://www.di.fm (USA) - where he is playing LIVE once a month. There are 2 more shows on this station, "Tranceformation" which is running on every last Tuesday of the month bringing you the freshest tracks of the current month and "Fresh Talents", a show where upcoming talents get a chance to play a set for a large amount of listeners.

Even when Trance is not popular anymore @ his home country Germany Ciacomix keeps the grooves and he still loves the stuff he does.

At first i would like to thank DJ Johnny from Sweden to approve me for the VDJ radio !
So what can you except ? Well i will bring my well known show "Tranceformation" (DI.FM) to the VDJ radio too, that means 2 hours LIVE into the mix featuring the latest in melodic Trance !

Kick off will be this saturday night.

What to say, after many many years (more than 12) i just bought VDJ and i will use it with TCV´s since i don`t want to miss the great feeling of vinyl. I travelled the world a few times and sometimes it was really annoying at the aiport cause the security was wondering about my big alu record case.

Now in the year 2007 it can be all so easy, i take my notebook + 4 timecode vinyls with me and i`m all set to play a wonderful DJ set. Yes, i finally accepted the future technology :-)
