If you are using Vista, it is important you install as an administrator or vista will install all wrong, by default Vista makes all people limited users with limited powers.

Go in option and select Crossfader > Disabled
Now if crossfader is linked to video you can use only to crossfade the video but no audio.
Step 3 (Set "Use External mixer" in english)
Ps. Any restart of Virtual DJ require a new External mixer selection into the Hercules MK2 panel.
