For two months I have "fought" with the BCD2000 and mine old PC portable (but for the audio mix, for me still valid) to have a reliability equal to 100% in phase of audio mix.
Unfortunately also following how much done by many others user, in the various tutorials, I have never succeeded in having such stability.
I also had frequent problems with MediaPlayer or Winamp, in phase of reproduction of music (MP3 and Wav don't care) but when i navigate through the HDD (hard disk) the audio of it stopped.
I also had problems with the same sounds of Windows played by the control panel, they jammed fifty-fifty or they were not played for nothing.
To this point it is obvious: there is problem it is in the management of the drivers audio in this configuration.
Component Hardwares:
Toshiba Satellite P10-832 (Pentium 4, 2.8 GHzes)
Notebook Toshiba Satellite P10-832, equipped with the processor Intel Pentium 4 from 2.8 GHzes of clock,
cache L2 of 512 KB and front Side Bus to 533 MHz.
Memory RAM brought to 1 GB on modulates DDR SO-DIMM expandable up to 2 GBs.
Hard disk from 40 GBs associated to the optic drive DVD-R/RW able to read, to write and to ri-write supports CD-R/RW and DVD-R/RW.
Graphic section composed by the video card ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 with 64 MB of devoted memory and from the monitor TFT WideXGA 16:10 from 15,4" with resolution of 1280 xes 800 pixels to 16 million colors.
Connections with the peripheral day-pupils guaranteed by the presence of a parallel port, a door IEEE-1394 i.LINK, a slot for memory formed card SecureDigital and three doors USB 2.0. Connectivity assured from the analogical inside modem and from the card of net LAN Ethernet 10/100 integrated on-board.

Clear all the programs TOSHIBA (control energy, keys for the play from DVD, Total connect etc. etc.)
Installed the drivers of the BCD2000 1.1.1
Installed VirtualDJ 4.3
Disabled the automatic updatings of Windows
Settings in Windows System Properties -> Performance -> Setting -> visual effects -> Adjust for best performance

In practice, under suggestion of DJ MORAMAX I have Setting the Virtual DJ as if it had two cards audio (indeed, one is the BCD2000 and one is the card of integrated of the PC Portable ).
The BCD2000 as it files audio that goes to the amplification and the inside card as in Headphones
Problem with low volume of exit in headphone of the integrated card in the PC portable.
Solution: Amplifier for headphone.
At the Disco Piu' of Rimini in the summer of 2006 I have purchased under suggestion of DJ Yama the following amplifier for headphone with circumferentor of BPM (with a decimal) incorporated.
Connected to the exit of the headphone of the PC portable has resolved me the problem of the volume with exit low in headphone.

After a week of stress, also with the mix of the video, I believe to have reached the reliability that I looked for.
Many of you will say that "that I have discovered the warm water" but now the system is excellent and I feels me to be able to make the evenings with the BCD2000.
