Well, My name is Israel Ortiz, I was born in Veracruz, Mexico and raised in Mexico City until 18 years old, since then, i live in Monterrey, NL; Im 33. I love music, specially Pop/Rock Genre and almost all its styles. In my youth i grew up listening Pop/Hair Metal mainly (Guns and Roses, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Ratt, Cinderella, W.A.S.P., etc, In my times was the "Inn" thing (86'-89') jeje) but quickly i realized and experimented old school Pop/Rock styles like Prog-Art Rock, Experimental-Rock, Punk Rock, Heavy Metal Styles, New Wave and the new Alternative Pop/Rock Styles era of the 90s like Grunge Rock. I would say that my favorite bands and what I mix in my parties mainly is Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Ozzy era, Deep Purple, Cream, Kiss, GNR, Motley Crue, Poison, W.A.S.P., Skid Row, Tesla, Bon Jovi, Cinderella, Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, Roxy Music, King Crimson, Soft Machine, Eno, Jethro Tull, Can, Emerson Lake and Palmer, Camel, The Moody Blues, Rush, Yes, Genesis (Peter Gabriel Era), U2, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Joy Division, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Pulp, The Cure, David Bowie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Doors, Elvis, Chicago, Boston, Journey, etc. I began Djing in parties just for fun and hobby, and believe it or not, i would say that my success djing was more for the good taste in the selection of the tracks in each special moment of the event (Pop/Rock mainly) than the mixing skills. My friends and people that know me, like the repertory that i manage to rock parties and call me just to mix those riffs. Electronic Music... is unreal, jejeje, but i respect who listen that stuff. Commercial Music... I dont like neither. About me... Im a Chemical and Computational Systems Engineer studied at ITESM-MTY and i used to work for big companies like SAP, Henkel and Accenture; soon i just realized, not for me at all!!!...Today i run my own business. Im a freelance developing IT Value Engineering Consulting in the Chemical mid-market. I also own a brand named Lavado Móvil Express, which offers mobile car-wash services in malls, Corporatives, Collages, Gyms, etc. Im married, no kids at this moment, and i would say that im easy going guy. I go to retro-bars, gourmet restaurants, wine bars; i also like experiment new red wine brands/styles; i am a Red Sox and Tiburones Rojos de Veracruz fan. It doesn't matter if i go to a place that is not that 'chic' at all, but if there play good music, is good enough for me...
