pioneer ddj-sx is out now and vestax vci380 been out awhile, just wondering if the vdj dev team ever going to map
a controller like that to vdj8 to be able to slice beats on fly and be able to adjust effects volume and parameters sensativity by amount of pressure applied to pad. ? do we have an vci380 owner that has this features mapped or tried to map.
thank you for your input in advanced

i would be very interested in this and i would also like to know if you can mix outside the software while using VDJ like you can with the MC6000

Mapping a button with velocity, could be possible with ver 7 already, but dont have such a unit in my hands to try.
In theory, the button should give 2 kind of info in the Miditrace. One that will work like a button (on-off note), and another value that will behave like a slider (depending on the velocity)
In the def file you should have both defined, and in the mapper, the button could be e.g. sampler x play_stop and the slider could be sampler x volume.

Strtch107 good ? I love the int mix mode of mc600 dont know if another controller
Has that feature. My friend got vci380 it only runs on pc mode
Meaning mixer controls software so u cant lower gain independent from software
Djdad i wish i had knowledge of mapping and making definition files ill be in dev team lol
Just wishing for xmas a mapping that does what vci380 does with itch but in vdj with my own effects

The pads of the VCI-380 use MIDI notes with velocity. This isn't currently supported in VirtualDJ v7.2 but could be possible in a future version.
Pads that send MIDI CC's for their velocity could be supported in the current version if mapped appropriately, but the VCI-380 doesn't work that way.
Beat slicing would only be possible with a new native built-in effect that's capable of doing this and can be controlled via MIDI/mapping. It might also be possible using an existing user-made effect, but a native mapping can only be mapped by default to native functions.

you unfortunately can't map velocity sensitive buttons in my experience... you can however trick VDJ into thinking the velocity sensitive buttons is a potentiometer "knob/slider" and you can map them easily enough.
param_greater 50% effect 'effect_name' slider 1 & effect 'effect_name' active on : effect 'effect_name' active off
the red parts can be changed depending on what you want the button to do.

i confirm that the pads that send CC can be mapped like SLIDER for example:
<slider cc="0x21" name="PROG3_PAD1CC" deck="2"/>
then for example you can map the sampler with velocity:
sampler 1 volume & sampler 1 play_stop
i'm working on a mapper for the Akay LPD8 that use pad with velocity.
It will be online soon

please if any one creates a slicer in a skin so upload it to meadiafire.com

Or you could just register your software here and then you could download it directly from here........

Nobody will do that. Illegal 3rd party sharing of VirtualDJ add-ons is not permitted in the VirtualDJ forums.
If you like VirtualDJ, please support the software and its future development by purchasing it: http://www.virtualdj.com/products/comparison.html
Once purchased and registered, you can then download any add-ons that your license entitles you to legally for free.
