When you come back from a gig it would be nice if you could turn your lappy on and just play through the laptop speaker without having to adjust the sound settings and then adjust them back again when you do your gig again, and it would get rid of that terrible error in the sound card message or what ever is say's.

Agreed - i also think that KZ's idea is a little complicated but in principle would do the job.

Well I haven't used it in ages either, I'm talking about Red and FX, Just unplug your soundcard/midi controller and it works out of the pc speakers without having to go into config and adjust any settings and when you plug your controller/soundcard back in it's vice versa no need to adjust setting it just works.
