Topic: CUE users Version 6 update??!! - Page: 3

Questa parte dell'argomento è obsoleta e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate

I appreciate that info Rob but the Total Control icon is on my profile because I bought it for my son, another son has the iCue and yet another son the RMX, I use the Pioneer CDJ-400's. My sons want to upgrade to VDJ but now with this fiasco I'm not sure we're going to want to.

I think we should all cut out the speculation about Numark and VDJ. Not one of the moderators or Atomix reps has said whether or not there will be any support for us Cue users. This makes sense when it comes to their bottom line. If no info is feed to us they are betting that we will drop the extra $$ to get VDJ. Giving us a clue as to if and when Numark will update us isn't good for VDJ's bottom line, get it? It's just a serial number to them thus generating a 100% profit for them since we are already legit users of the software, so to speak. All we have to do is sit tight and if within a week or two nothing materializes I'm gone, period. I will never rave on and on about VDJ again. Like I said I know for a fact that at least a hand full of people have bought VDJ based on my recommendations, there is a guy right now that wants VDJ, iainalpine from the Pioneer forum, I've been talking to him for a couple of months now about going with VDJ instead of Serato, he was waiting for V 6 to drop to see if the MEP-7000 is native, last night I told him it is now supported and he thanked me a said he was going to buy online. That is just one of several people I have directed (fervently and diligently) to VDJ. I have even been asked to tone down my support of VDJ somewhat on a site I won't mention, because technically the company (owner and namesake of the forum- well known company I might add) sells DJ software. I have been an unofficial salesman for VDJ on a few well known sites.

Now I know that VDJ doesn't need me to continue on successfully, but I feel I have been at least a small asset.

BTW: I just confirmed that ianinalpine did in fact purchase VDJ today. (He's having problems with his MEP-7000 and VDJ V 6)

As I said above, there may be commercial reasons for this. The NS7 is bundled with Itch not VDJ, and it seems not to be "natively" supported in VDJ6, so there may be something going on between Atomix and Numark that none of us know about.

I know it's frustrating, but my controller will have to have the mapper completely rewritten for VDJ6. I'm willing to wait as I would rather have something that currently works.

Maybe it's not our position to speak on behalf of Numark and what they will and will not do. I think I am one of the more forth right individuals on this forum and if I worked for Numark and could speak for Numark I would. But since I don't and I can't, I can only offer you an alternative option to hopefully curb your concerns. So, to say a 'moderator or Atomix reps' has said anything is nothing - it is quiet the opposite.

We were never promised lifetime upgrades like the virtualdj users were, so maybe its just our time either way i'll just pay the extra 50 if the netsearch feature is really what i have been hearing, i can make the 50 just by getting some darn hard to find songs (so the extra 50 isnt just for a serial, its for a upgrade that we have no idea if were getting)

I dont see why everyone is really upset about, we all bought a numark product and not vdj, too bad the numark forums are closed, maybe that says something as well, heard that the scripts been changed but that mapping new usb controllers is easy, either way ima try it out and keep my fingers crossed

RudeDogg I hear you mate.
I purchaced the DMC2 which shipped with CueLE and ended up payin full whack for VDJPro.
Hacked me of but it was the only way to go. My anger was directed at Numark for misrepresenting the product and Atomix for appeering to let them.
I guess there is a principal here and a serious lesson for Atomix. Numark need a good kicking for frequently misleading its customers and Atomix could do with distancing themselves from Numark and not getting involved with them again. Numark have caused an awfull lot of ill feeling through there actions. I do think its a little unfair that Atomix seem to be left dealing or trying to deal with the issues Numark have caused and I have to give them some serious respect for at least trying. I just hope Atomix got a good deal from Numark for letting them trash the reputation of VDJ for so many people.

I have 2 Numark products and have been very lucky not to have had serious issues with them. On the basis of what I have read from other posts and comments I will not be purchasing any other Numark equipment. Like many people on this forum I rely on my equipment to make money and a company who treats its customers the way Numark have done of late cannot be tolerated by professional users.

I know it bites to pay for the change to VDJ because ive done it but the pain fades eventualy and you will be glad you stuck with it.

Not to get into all this Numark stuff but even if Atomix was charging ALL of its users an upgrade fee .. i feel the $49 is well spent.

It's not the $49!!! I make 10 times that standing on my head!!It's the $300 I already spent like you did, now I have to upgrade to my already "upgraded" product. That's $50 more than any of you spent! Will I get my karma title upgraded to "Experienced Pro User" now or should it say "Dumbass who bought CUE & got screwed out of $50 more user" or "Professional Edition 1st class user" or maybe "No longer a second class dumbass CUE user"?

Doubt that, Paid 500 for my package lol, Im sure if you ask a teamer they would do it for you since, you are helping them to sell, at least you got a controller, i got a sound card that i dont even bother using no more

I have already in so many ways stated this to them without directly asking them straight out, to no avail. Falling on deaf non-sympathic ears I'm afraid.

If I count my package then I paid a little over $500 too, I was only talking software not the Numark controller (that I don't use) in the deal.

at the very least i should get a t-shirt from numark.......i bought numark virtual vinyl and all i got was this lossy t-shirt

If you got a "lossy" T-shirt, then get "FLAC" T-shirts, they are lossless!! lol

Lousy frame of mind today, Thanks

As someone with licenses for both softwares, not as a representative of VDJ, VDJ has been very fair in the past where updating CUE is concerned. While I have no "insider" information, I am also firm in my belief that CUE users have not been forgotten. By either VDJ or Numark. So, even though its difficult to see the VDJ users get an update, you are not now, nor have you ever been, considered second class citizens by myself, or by any of the Teamers I know personally.....I genuinely hope that clears things up...Peace T

+1

DJRudeDoGG,i have a mobile dj business with 5 djs including myself.
i spent $500.00 for computer in a box that came with cue le & tractor le, however
when i went to buy a couple more of those computer in a box the cue program was missing
which led me to believe that numark is not behind vdj like they were a year ago. do you think
they care when they release a update? the money is already made. they are in no hurry to
do a public service to the people that bought cue. i have 3 copies@ $300.00 apiece
myself,and i run 2 pcdj video rigs(countless problems). what i'm saying to you i have 3
copies of cue that run flawlessly(it took a lot of help from the guys in this forum)and
i'm happy with where i am now. it's money well spent whoever made it. i probably
won't update my rigs at all anymore untill there is a major change.i've made a lot
of money with this video program.
p.s. i think the higher ups should look at doing
you a solid. i think you have earned it. it would'nt cost them a thing.

If it turns out that VirtualVinyl is no longer supported will I be able to use the VV soundcard with the Mac version of VDJ 6.0? I only ever hear that VDJ works with the Maya44 soundcard, Hercules etc. but I don't recall hearing the VV soundcard working with anything other than specifically the VirtualVinyl software. Is there any truth to this? I don't mind paying extra money to upgrade from VV to VDJ, I just want to know if there is an option to continue on using this great software with my VV soundcard even if the Numark/Atomix partnership has fallen by the wayside.

I did it, but I'm not very happy about it. They should have stepped up. Now watch Numark release Cue V 6 tomorrow. I feel different now than I did before the release.

I wonder if you'll get a lousy t-shirt?

welcome, congrats.
