Hi all. I'm about to purchase an additional mixer to connect to my Hercules RMX. Don't need many sound effects since I'll use the RMX, but prioritize sound quality. Would like the Xone 22, but a little bit too expensive. Any other good sounding budget alternatives - under 200€?
Thank you in advance!

I would look out for a four channel mixer in that price range if you have the space to fit it.

sound quality, theres no better analog sound than an A&H or a Urei mixer - i have a 1601 2 channel mixer, sound quality is amazing. less digital.
Otherwise and pioneer, mackie, denon, etc are all pretty good, cheap 2 channels

You need a 1u rackmount mixer for simply plugging the RMX into.

Great! Thank you for your response.
You are probably right Charlie - I don't need an additional dj mixer - I'll check out your suggestion. However, when I upgrade my equipment next time, I'll go for an A&H system. BR

At the club we use the Pioneer DJM-600 but I've got a Pioneer DJM-400 at home and I've been using it for well over a year now
It's a cracking 2 channel mixer, slightly overpriced as with all Pioneer gear ;) but I haven't had any problems with it so far :)

Honestly speaking I can't recommend any mixer in the sub-200 price range with a good conscience - they're all just toys and they all suck. I'm not saying that everybody should buy the most expensive Pioneer, Denon or Rane as their first mixer, but there's no point spending any money on some piece of crap mixer you're going to sell after a year.
Mixer is the heart and soul of your setup, so that's the last place you want to be cheap. I personally recommend Ecler Nuo2.0, I used to have it until I got my Denon DN-X1600. Very nice price/quality-ratio. I'm not feeling the Pioneer DJM-400, it has the same problem as DJM-300; insufficient connectors.

Hi again. Since I will use the RMX for most mixing and the additional mixer more as a PA system (as a safety if the computer goes down and for better use of the mic etc), would you still recommend a traditional 2 channel mixer - but a good one - or a rackmixer as Charlie recommends? Sound quality is prioritized.

If you're simply using the mixer to connect the RMX to then why not look at the Behringer Xenyx range. Unless you are using it in external mixer mode, you don't need a crossfader, just some decent inputs for both the RMX, Mics and so on.
The Xenyx 1202FX has plenty, works like a charm and should be around the 100 Euro mark.

The DJM 400 doesn't have the right connections for life on the road or in a club, It's primary use is with home setups.
I currently still use a RMX

Well that's a load of crap!!!! A friend of mine have been using one with a pair of Denon's in his mobile set up for well over 2 years, with no problems but I agree about a with you, about it not being a club mixer

You could say that about any 2 Channel mixer!!!!!!!

Of course you could use it with a mobile setup, if you really wanted to.
Personally I would like a balanced XLR mic input and XLR balanced outputs, imagine using it with powered speakers! would be a bit nasty running phono's. But each to his own.
To sum this mixer up I was right with my first evaluation, not enough spec for club and not enough connectivity for mobile. This makes it tailored for home use, so it does have a purpose.
Samson PS10
Kam 1920 (Surprisingly Good)
Studiomaster C3X
Crown XTI 4000
