Is it possible to connect preamplifier between HDJC output and main mixer input?
In club i have HDJC connected to Pioneer DJM600 mixer and always have to have output on computer at max and input on mixer at max and there is still too low signal in comparison with Pioneer CDJ-1000 MKII cd-players of other DJ.
Which preamplifier to buy? Any suggestios?
tnx

did u turn up the volume in the hercules and windows control panel?

sometimes it happens for me that the volumes get screwed
ensure that EVERY speaker is at max, master is at max, wave is at max
It's true that HDJC has not so strong output anyway

Yes, i tryed to turn up volume at booth control panels. I have always everything at max, but signal is still low. I don't want to use gain. I am thinking of buying a cheap preamplifier, but i don't know which one.

Strange Xeon
I have almost the same setup as you...
My 2x CDJ1000 decks goes into channel 1 & 2 at my Pioneer 600 mixer...
Hercules (w/VDJ) goes into channel 3 & 4 at same mixer...
Signal from HDJC is almost the same as the cd players...
Gain for CD players are set at about half, and HDJC at half...
You do need to check this :
1. Hercules control pannel - ALL volume sliders set to FULL
2. VDJ settings - Autogain set to always 0db
Works like a charm for me :)

I checked. All volume sliders are at max and i autogain is always at 0db. I really don't know what to do. Sound is much stronger when i use internal sound card of laptop.

can be because of partial impedance incompatibility of the mixers input, notebook soundcard is adapted for impedance 16>ohm hercules maybe for >1000 ohm
strange the norway's setup works ok and your not
there is sometimes an resistor connected to the input of mixer, it can lower the distortion and background noise. It depends in it's value.
Try this:
in hercules pannel choose to hear FRONT in the headphones and connect the headphone output to the mixer. Remap in virtualdj the headphones to your internal soundcard (that perhaps has not so good quality but is enough for prelisten function)
