Is there any way of showing an internet page while no video is being played?
I currently have screen dumps of the website and use the slide show feature, however an interactive browser whould be better.

I'm afraid not. The video window does not pass mouse information anyway which would mean your interactive solution wouldn't work even if a plugin to display web pages did exist.
