the mixdeck series is known to have very fragile buttons that stop working after a while... shipped mine to numark, they are fixing for free even though its out of waranty (15 months old)...
 
Well it's 4th quarter now, is this thing out yet??
 
i thought it was going to be released in december...
 
Guys this is all very interesting - has anybody bought one yet!? Is it any good!? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I have a few questions to ask to whoever made the jump and got one!!

I pre ordered one about 3 months ago and got an email this week saying it has arrived in America, so I have to pay for it and it gets shipped to Australia!!! So excited to try it out.

It comes with Serato Intro but I was hoping it came with VDJ also like some of their other controllers which come with two software choices :( :(

I guess i'll have to buy VDJ outright now.... $$$$ :(

Hey Guys,

I just received my Mixdeck Quad yesterday and it worked flawlessly last night out the box (with mapper provided from VDJ). And as stated the mixer is not midi. I was very impressed with the functions and versatility of the unit, but very frustrated with the faders not controlling VDJ software as I mix videos and really like the midi control of automatic fading of videos while I mix.

Overall I would buy it all over again after trying many Numark products, this one is the complete package for me. More updates will follow as I get familiar with the features.

What do you mean the mixer isn't MIDI?? It's supposed to be, it should act like the VSM and the mixer is MIDI/Analog. At least that's the impression I was under.........
 
The faders work on the ipad but when used with VDJ pro the mixer faders do not control the software. I will test again tonight with Serato intro as I did not have time last night.

Well I just downloaded Chris's mapper and the crossfader and linefaders are mapped so they are sending midi messages. You might not have something setup right. I dont have the unit so I'm really not much help, lol!

Ok! someone help me out maybe cstol knows something I dont . In the pic it says mixer is not midi and it does not control the faders on the software, so if I have something wrong I dont know about it. I will go over it pretty good tonight.

Just got my MixDeck Quad ... so any news on the FULL MIDI mapping of this unit for VDJ Pro 7 ? otherwise it's pointless having this controller :(

Did you even check the download section under "CONTROLLERS"??? Id check that first...........

Yes i did, and has i had asked, is there any update on the full mapping ?
 
CSTOLL said he was working on mapping the mixer section of the Mixdeck Quad. Please be patient!! I am also in need of the midi mixer functions. Thanks again for VDJ and everyone involved in making this the best Dj Software available.

Eureka !! it's working :) I now have full mapping of the MixDeck Quad :) on the mixer/faders :)

Well you clearly got it from somewhere else ... since the full mapping won't be posted until sometime this evening.
 
I know!! freaky!! I ran home hooked up my controller and still no midi from the mixer! thanks for posting CSTOLL I thought I was losing my mind. hehe!

Hmmm maybe so ... I have VDJ working through the MixDeck Quad mixer on all sliders/cross faders and all EQs etc , are you meaning if i turn down the slider volume on mixer it will reflect this in VDJ /
