Topic: Novation Dicer Cue Point Controller

I already know that the Novation Dicer Controller is compatible with virtual dj. But does it matter what turntable you use? I am very cheap and own a ION Discover DJ usb turntables. I just wanted to know if there would be anything that would go wrong with this equipment before i buy the dicers.

No, it doesn't matter what turntables you have. Despite being designed to work with a TCV setup, the Dicers are just regular MIDI-controllers. The are not connected to the turntable via any kind of wiring.

okay thanks!

For timecode use, you will ideally need direct drive turntables and a proper 4-in/4-out (Or better) ASIO sound card designed for DJ use, such as Hercules DJ Trim, Native Instruments Audio 4 DJ, 8 DJ, etc.

USB turntables are normally designed for 'ripping' vinyl to MP3, not DJ performance.

Low latency ASIO is essential for a fast timecode response, especially for scratching.

You will need the the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to use timecode and MIDI controllers: http://www.virtualdj.com/buy/index.html
