It has a 4-in/4-out sound card that can be used either as WDM or ASIO.
Please see http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/4-Mx.html on the page http://www.virtualdj.com/wiki/Controller%20Configuration%20And%20Troubleshooting.html

Ok, I picked up a new Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx controller today and set it up with new drivers downloaded from their site, followed the complete installation procedure, including a firmware update 4.07 everything went well with no problems...
I made sure my setup was correct in the config advance soundcard dialog using "WDM" Audio Mode in the control panel and to my surprise the headphones would not work at all PreListen or Mix , Is there something I'm doing wrong here.....
I'm using the 4-Mx controller for headphones only, My Master soundcard is my M-Audio NRV-10 (ASIO)..
Really need some help please....
Thanks,
Joey....

Well just an update: The saga continues....,
After many emails back and forth with Hercules concerning this headphone issue using the "WMD", I still can't get them to work, even with the most basic two card setup...
Maybe someone has an answer to this problem here...
Thanks,
Joey....
Reply from Hercules:
Thank you for your request. In order to resolve the issue you have encountered with your DJ Console 4-Mx, please refer to our response herewith:
Please disconnect any equipments from the DJ Console 4-Mx and perform the following test:
1. Connect a pair of speakers to the Outputs 1-2
2. Connect the headphones to the headphones connection or to the Outputs 3-4
3. Install the Virtual DJ DCE version (the one that came with the console)
4. After installing Virtual DJ, open it and in Config. select:
Inputs: None
Outputs: Headphones (Master chan: 1&2 / Headphones chan: 3&4)
Soundcard: 4.1 CARD + DJ Console 4-Mx
5. Turn the Monitor knob to seven o'clock on CUE and put the cross-fader on deck A
6. Load in Virtual DJ DCE in each deck a song and play them. Press the CUE select button on deck B
7. Check the buttons of the console (especially the Folder button)
We are waiting for the test results.
My Reply:
This obviously will work because you are using one soundcard for both outputs, Master and headphones, I did Not need to install VirtualDj DCE Ver. to make this work, I hooked it up as per your instructions and Yes it did work though the volume level was low...
I went ahead and tried the Outputs: Headphones Master: Chan 1&2 / Headphones: Chan 3&4, Sound Card: DJConsole 4-Mx One card, and it worked better, putting out more audio sound levels....
But I also tried the Two card config. Outputs: (Headphones) and Sound Card: (2 Cards) 1= NRV-10 As Master and 2= Hercules DJ Console 4-Mx For Headphone and it did Not work...This should have worked, But it Does Not Work at All...this is the most basic of configurations???
See attachment included.
I need My NRV-10 as the Master soundcard First, then the 4-Mx as the headphone....
This does not work...at All, No headphone signal in console.

Hi all,
is it possible to hook up the Hercules RMX with two V7s and use it with vdj? i mean to connect the hercules rmx and use it as a mixer for the v7s. Are the sync and picth reset buttons going to work normally?

@ JoeyKJ, I installed already the game booster thank you its helps me a lot.
@ TEAM SUPPORT, I do and follow all the instruction that mentions in the site.
But last Friday they hired me in birthday party. And I feel shame to the audience especially to the birthday celebrant. Most of the times I encountered my DJ console MK4 Deck A is not responding and not loading of music, And sometimes you feel or heard music scratching and I using USB hub with power supply (AC adaptor) and a I have 3 party booked already in this coming November. I don’t want to feel embarrass again same before for this 3 coming parties. Kindly help me to find better way to solve these problems.
Usage:
VDJ pre trial with in 2o days (I want to see/experience the pre trial first before I purchase the new one)
DJ Console MK4
USB hub with Power Adaptor
Problems:
• Deck A not responding and not loading music (after re starting PC it will be okey again)
• Sometimes music feel/heard have some scratching
• Some the volume of the music coming high and low without touching the volume nub
