When using the Automix feature with the "Smart"Automix option selected, I sometimes need to move the mix points manually to tweak the start and end points automatically detected by Virtual DJ.
I know the mix point markers can be dragged with the mouse. However, the mix points markers are so small that it is very easy to accidentally click to the side of the marker, which automatically advances the song to that point. A bit embarrassing if the song is busy playing at the time.
Is there some way of disabling the feature that advances the song when you click on the waveform in the deck waveform display so that the mixpoint markers can be safely moved? Otherwise maybe there is some other way of achieving this - maybe being able to zoom into the mix point so that it can be moved with the mouse more easily?

No, there is no way to disable that, but you will notice that the cue marker is changing color when your mouse is over that.
