So I can only use VDJ timecode for 10 mins or pay $149...why,I don't make money from it I just want to feel like I am playing a record so I am using my record player as a controller really ,it for home use,so every 10 mins I have to restart VDJ then..??

Serato vinyl is indeed also supported, so that will work as well.

Hi there if you got money go for Technics 1210's second hand or Pioneer Plx 1000 these are quality built! = they will last.
If you don't have a lot to spend then go for Reloops 700 Mk2, Buttons are not quality ,they are poor made = probably buttons will not last.
When you buying dj equipment you should consider will you invest on something what will last or if you are person who like buying and changing equipment very often?
let's put it this way :buy cheap means buy twice!

Best Advice given on this thread. Ive had the same Tech. 1200s, since 1989. In 1993 I sold them to a friend, bought them back in 1995. Other than cleaning and fixing 1 pitch control they still solid.

And even if you have to fix something like the pitch, just watch 2 youtube videos and fix it yourself.

I did it that way and it worked perfect. Actually I didn't change the pitch (which is even easier), I just removed the pitch click.
And because the TT was already dismantled I changed the needle lamp to LED.

A lot people saying for Pioneer plx are not good, I think they are wrong: but based on that I had 1210's before they are not far of.
PLX1000 are not Technics but they are built like tank as well!
PLX are quality decks!

Time will tell but I've a 1979 built 1200 and it's still going strong, so the plx's have a way to go yet.

I know 1210's was the best but Pioneer plx 1000 taking over now!

Well there's only one way to be sure, I'll tie a rope round my 12 you tie a rope round your plx and we go head to head with a turntable conkers death match XD

Now that I'd like to see!

Everybody using plx 1000 even we still got the new technics turntable
some people still consider it technics as a Hi fi deck
I have been in a couple of dj shops and they don't sell them because of that reason they stated they are not dj decks, that is politics now!
I think that is an old Technics strategies of sales , if they say that deck is a dj deck many people won't buy it ( except dj's only ), if they say it's got that hi fi quality they can pull more people to buy it and also plus this deck is good for dj's. so that makes to merge more people around to buy it ,I think they made mistake this time.
It simple did not work this time!
we got the bigger choice that is a problem for Technics!
I know PLX 1000 is not an Technics 1210's but I'm sure it's built like tank!
it's good for dj's and it's good price to!and a lot dj 's use PLX 1000
