I need to make a mashup for a client of mine and they want me to use a simple record scratch sound effect in between the songs they want to use for there wedding dance mashup. But I can't seem to find a record scratch sound effect can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks

There's a remix for Kriss Kross's "Jump" featuring Supercat that has the sound of a needle being dragged across the vinyl in an abrupt manner in a 'disruptive way' ("screeeeech). I assume that's the type of sound you're looking for. Buy that track and isolate that sound by using audio editing software. By the way, I hate when the bride and groom want to do that stupid screech sound effect to segue from their slow dance to "Funky Cold Medina" or something stupid like that... it's been done to death. Then the guests go all apeshit over some horribly choreographed dance routine. It's like the bride and groom become a parody of themselves lol.

There's also an old Cheech and Chong (I think it was them) sample of a "screeech", followed by something like, "Hey man, what're you doing? You messed up my record. I just bought it!!"

It's pretty funny. :)

The movie Trading Places has a good one during a party scene, where Eddie Murphy becomes annoyed at the guests and tells them to "Get the *&%$ out!"
