Do I need to add a codec to work?

You would need to use a 3rd party tool to convert them to either standard MP3+G format or to a video format (E.g: .MP4) to be able to play them in VirtualDJ.

You will need to purchase the full VirtualDJ Professional to be able to display karaoke and/or video full-screen. All other versions are limited to a small video window that cannot be resized. Home FREE also cannot be used for commercial purposes (Gigs where you are being paid.)
