At a gig yesterday, when mixing into a loop, and then releasing the loop by pushing loop out on the controller, VDJ instead switched the loop to a 1/2 or 1/4 length fixed loop (i got out of them as fast as possible by clicking on the screen, so i didn't notice which, but it was fast and short)
I haven't have this happen to me before, and of course I would like to fix the issue. The changes I had made since the last 5+ gigs was
- Upgrading to VDJ 7.3
- Using a new laptop, but the exact same brand and model as the old one (which wasn't dedicated for VDJ, and now serves as a backup)
- Doing the few re-mappings I always do when using my Hercules controller, one of which is assigning buttons for looping
So I'm guessing that one of the above is the reason for this. Of course it could also be that my controller has started failing
Please note that looping worked fine for 10+ times the rest of the gig, so it's not a general issue
