Hi there,
I seem to be having an ongoing problem with the playback speed of my tracks through VDJ Pro 7.3 for mac.
The tracks slow down, then speed up and sometimes double beat?
I am using a hercules dj console mk2 with latest mac drivers and the latest version of VDJ.
I have to close VDJ because of this fact and run Traktor Pro which runs perfectly with no issues?!
Some of my music is also on an external HD.
Please help!!
My mac specs are as follows:
MacBook Pro – Late 2011
Processor 2,4 GHz Intel Core i5
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63)
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Hard Drive: 500GB HD 5400 rpm

This could be because you either have smart play and/or auto pitch matching turned on.
Smart play will automatically try to sync to the other deck when you press PLAY and the pitch will be adjusted appropriately to match, resulting in the song playing faster or slower as appropriate.
Auto pitch matching will automatically move the pitch slider to the appropriate position each time you load a new song, so that the BPM matches the playing song.
