Hi!
Is it possible to set up a Pioneer Ddj-Sx with Virtual dj, using 2 turntables with timecode, and the Ddj-Sx soundcard. So channel 1 & 2 controllled by the turntables, and channel 3 & 4 by the controller?
Thank you

No - not without another audio interface. The SX only has basic master+headphone audio output.

Thanx, but it is a shame, you can't get the timecode signal through the ddj-sx into the software

Well the thing to consider is, it's a controller. The majority of people buy a controller to use on its own, without connecting other external sources. Some controllers don't have any inputs at all.

The next model up (DDJ-SZ) is the big daddy that does have the ability to be used with DVS.

Yeah...thats the thing.
The DDJ-SX got 4 stereo inputs, of witch 2 phono.
Too bad they are analog for the internal mixer.
And the SZ costs the double.
Thing is I almost bought the SX thinking it's a 4 in / 4 out soundcard as well.

I guess in this case it's because of Serato and their policy of having the DVS functionality tied to Rane and/or expensive hardware.

If Pioneer had teamed up with Virtual DJ maybe it would've been different.

Will the DDJ-SZ work with VD?

At the moment, the DDJ-SZ is not supported (can be mapped as Simple MIDI though for the basic features), but it will be soon.

Please try to post in relative topics. This particular one is DDJ-SX related.
