I was wondering in the future if you will be able to map a key to midi and then have it run video clip on a different program also mapped to the same midi key? here is the example when sampler is set I want to be able to press the sampler button and have it linked to a video clip in a program like GrandVJ or something like that. Is that even possible?

Unless one of the programs acts as a MIDI bridge (provides a MIDI through) then that's not possible.
There are a few programs floating on the net that will read a "physical" MIDI port and create several Virtual MIDI ports in order to have the same unit talk to different programs, but this solution is not recommended as it creates a mess, and especially when two programs try to talk on the device at the same time...
