control eq's, master vol, gain and volume sliders.... not keen in using the cross fader, i never use the fadder, i always use the vol sliders

Being that it's an external mixer there's really no point in mapping the EQ's unless you use a fake command. If you don't you'll just be doubling up the eq, make sense? Same with the volume sliders. You could map those to fade the video though as the volume drops.
Other then that there's not much to map because it is an external mixer. You could also map the little crossfader reverse buttons as well.

Yeah, it boggles the hell out of my logical mind why people with hardware seem to think they need to use the "pretend" version on the screen!

I just want to use it for recording purpose via vdj... while doing gigs.

I'm using the DJM-900. With VDJ7 it was simply plug and play. Does anyone know how to get it working with VDJ8 without having to re-map the whole entire unit?
