The Volume sliders are always on full when VDJ is booted on my home laptop and also on my Gig laptop which the latter is connected to ADJ MXR19 mixer. The same of my Gig laptop when using VDJ 7. Several times I have started my Gig in Video mode and sound blasted the Venue . Why are they set on full by default ? And how can I change default setting.

Set an ONINIT command for your keyboad.
Select ONINIT from the drop down list and set the action. (see image)

Can't remember whether v7 allowed ONINIT for keyboard.
Just tested it and your right. You can always set a keyboard shortcut for 7.

Yes ONINIT for keyboard was added in version 8
