I can see the sandbox button in 2 or 6 deck skins, but not in 4 decks.
Am I missing something?

It's intended primarily for use by "two deck users" because it functions like an extra pair of decks.
Therefore it's not as important when you actually do have four or more decks, as you can use those extra decks to do your mix checking.
(the 6 deck skin only has a two channel mixer and two main decks)
