Pressing the button... and the screen pops up... and does nothing... once you click on the screen (Not Responding) comes up... if I click on the "x" to close the screen.. it asks me if i want to wait while the vdj8 comes back or if i click on close.. the whole program shut off.. ""that would suck at a gig with a packed dance floor"

that means that some Video Effect is selected there and tries to be enabled. Can you take a look and see which video effect is selected in the VIDEO center panel and check if you can reproduce it ?
