Yeah, I realise it's a standalone mixer but I want to know if it will work in external mixer mode with VDJ?

Guess I'll have a chance to play with Serato DJ until the VDJ mapping is ready

I have tested many of the new consoles, and found the DDJ-SX very good... the new DDJ-SX2 has a few changes to it... and it's the same price as it's older brother. But when I tested the new SX2.. it seemed to lack the build quality that it's earlier brother SX1 had. The one new thing I spotted with the SX2 was: Serato Flip! It's a cool way to record and play samples
 
Just got my ddjsx2 gonna have to play with it and serato dj but any update on vdj 7 and 8 mapper?? Love to stay with vdj because of better video options.
 
 
I just bought a pioneer ddj sx2 and it arrives with me on Tuesday next week. Can virtual dj 7 be used with it atall? I do use serato for recording my trance sessions.however I like virtual djs ability to anylise you're hole harddrive and be able to pick any track out where with serato you have to make crates.i do a few party's and weddings sometimes and if someone asks for a tracks I can just find it easily.can someone let me know if virtual 7 or 7.3 can be used with ddj sx2 thanks.
 
No, it's not supported in version 7 at present.
 
Not natively supported but there's nothing stopping it being plugged in and mapped by the user. :-)
 
True, but it would need a definition file and not everyone can put them together :)
 
Let me get this straight. You just bought the SX2, for about a grand, and want to use a home free version of 7 with it? That's like buying a new computer, and trying to run Win XP on it. C'mon, stop it. You have a big boy controller, you need a big boy software. Buy the pro version, and stop this craziness. You will get version 7 & 8, and never have to spend another dime. Where else are you going to get a deal like that?
