Discussion about Traktor Kontrol X1 MKII
For this mapper to work with VirtualDj 8 on a Windows PC you need to do the following:
1) Install drivers for the unit from NI website
2) Install Controller Editor from NI website. You DON'T need to load any specific template. Controller Editor is needed only in order to be able to switch your unit on "MIDI" mode (next step)
3) Switch your unit to "MIDI" mode. In order to do so, hold down SHIFT button and press both left and right arrow buttons next to SHIFT. Release the buttons. Now your unit is in "MIDI" mode. Repeating the above procedure will change the unit back to "HID" mode.
