Any estimate on when the "Controller Mapping syntax in Version 8 (under construction)]" will be finished? I know you guys want to make sure it's thorough and correct before releasing but I really need this for a couple of mappings. Plus the sooner you release, the sooner we can test it out for you guys :)

Nothing significant is changed compared to version 7.
Is there something that you need to ask about the structure of the mapping files ?

One difference, as far as i can recall...
Description="" is optional. The name of the mapping file you see in the Controllers tab is taken from the Device file (definition), so if you want to upload/create a custom one and provide a "special name, just name the mapping.xml file with the name you wish to provide.
 
can I use virtual dj 8 with reloop beatmix 2 controller?

Yes, you can play - for 10 minutes at a time.

Then if you decide you want to use VDJ permanently, you can either pay a monthly subscription or buy an Infinity license. These will allow you to use VDJ professionally.

If you're only going to use VDJ at home then you can buy a controller license, which is cheaper but does not permit professional (earning money from DJing) use.
