They are quite easy actually, all you need is a half decent video editing software something like one of the variations from Sony Vegas will do just nicely.
Place your video on the timeline and make sure you have the audio editor opened at the same time, just watch the peaks and troughs along it and edit your text in accordingly, a little tricky first couple bars but you should be able to pick it up quite quickly, have fun.
I made a few visual drops over the years for the guys on the forums here for free, you can also check out the Visual Shed forum for free video samples something I also set up for the guys when they weren't available to users a few year ago.
