Build 2334 states that:

If you want to exclude a transition from random, then do this:
* Open transitions selection list and pin it open
* Create a folder called Ignore
* Drag the transitions you don't want to be randomly selected into the Ignore folder.
The new command

The new command
video_transition_select "random"works exactly the same as the random video transition, but only does it once. This means you could select a new random transition if you don't like the one random selected, or you could disable random transition in options and change manually to a new random whenever you like.

Thanks for your prompt response. Did you mean create a group as shown below? I cant see an option to create a folder
