Hello Guys Need a bit of advice on this one
I have VDJ 8 and VDJ 7 on both my laptops I want to copy my VDJ8 files and playlists etc. to the other laptop and leave the VDJ7 settings untouched on the other laptop. I am not to sure on how to do this. any help would be fantastic.

Copy the Virtual DJ Root Folder on Comp 1 to Comp 2. This is usually found under Documents\VirtualDJ when using PC/Windows - not sure if you are as you haven't mentioned that.

Don't do that, it will overwrite the VDJ7 settings on the other computer. That is not what he wants.
Just copy the database.xml and settings.xml and that will do the job.

VirtualDj 7 settings are kept in Windows registry.
So copying over files from one PC to another should not alter them.

So both laptops have VDJ 7 + 8, or does one have only 7 and the other only 8?

His first post says he has 7 and 8 on both, but it gets a little confusing when he wants to copy over. Maybe he has been using 8 more on one computer, and now wants to copy that info to the machine that also has 8, but has been dormant.
