Hello,
I use the camera module of Virtual DJ, unfortunately this only supports Firewire and Webcams
You can expand the module so that network ip and wireless cameras are supported?

Hello atomix team,
what do you mean to this question?

hey, Please explain what it is you need to do? I have a few cams working at all my events. You can also make any cam that takes a full sd card into a wifi cam but buying a wifi card and then setting it up to drop to a drive or a hot spot. My hot spot is a Kingston MLWG2. It is a router and wifi plus has card slots too for instant upload. It is battery powered and can be put anywhere. You can even link it to my old I pad gen 2 and 3

Hello Team,

I have a dance floor and would like to play the dance floor with an ip camera in VDJ (not with a webcam)
but vdj can not output IP Cam.

Please expand the camera module of VDJ for IP !!!

+++1 for IP Camera !!!

Let`s say it`s a must to have this inside the software ... This will be a big suprise for all Serato and Traktor users ...

Ohhh really with VDJ it runs even with IP cam? Damn my software is not able to do this for me. (this will be the response of a lot of VDJ haters :-) )

Come on guys we know you can add this fixture to VDJ :-)

By the way I have to say thank you for such a well software!!! Big compliment for the development team and the programmers :-)

Best regards from Germany

Hello,

A work around is what tycoonentertainmentcanada already suggest. Is an easy task as long you can tell you IP CAM you would record the video in a shared folder in your computer (in the same WIFI the IP CAM is). it may have some security issues, but may worth it for what you want to do. only share this folder in your computer to get the video recordings on the IP CAM there and then you can play this on an unused deck in VirtualDJ at anytime later.

;-)

IP camera support has been added to the TM 2.22 Prime version. Going direct like this assures the least amount of latency and steps are taken within TM to be sure of it.

It can be a bit awkward to determine what the proper IP link should be. Most of the time a provided link is a link to a webpage and not to a video stream.

If xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address then:

For the Android app called IP Webcam use:
http: //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8080/video

For the iPhone app called iPCamera use:
http: //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/live

Typically for an IP Foscam use:
http: //xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=&resolution=32&rate=0

note a space was left after http: so the examples would not display as links

Also I have tested with the NewTek NDI camera app and NDI in general. NDI takes the headache out of trying to determine what the IP link should be. Currently in testing. I have used it for inter program communication and as a camera app from my phone that displays on computer.
